Description

Intricate instruments are used to insure the safety of airplane pilots operating out of the Tempelhof airdrome, Berlin. Radio broadcasts advise them of weather conditions and also give them bearings relating to their courses. The above photo shows a view of the wireless station with an operator sending out a bearing. In the foreground is a small bearing map with a bearing wheel and the bearing receiver. In the rear of the bearing wheel is the wireless receiving set.
