Description

Wire reports indicate that Austria is preparing against the possibility of armed conflict with Nazi Germany. Barbed wire obstacles were placed on roads, soldiers and home guards patrolled the small roads and mountain trails as well as highways. Photo shows frontier guards at Kufstein warning a civilian that he proceeded at his own risk during the frontier tension of July 1933. Much the same scenes are being enacted today.
