Description

NOT TO BE RELEASED BEFORE JUNE 28TH, 1942. PLA 652992 — New York Bureau Canterbury, England — Even though St. George’s Church in Canterbury is in ruins, the graceful arches express a beauty and dignity that Nazi raiders were unable to destroy. A recent raid by German bombers left the residential district of Canterbury a mass of wreckage and there were some casualties. (Passed by censors). Credit Line (ACME), 6-24-42 stamp: “REF.
